    Global Nomads has been working to provide social assistance and Christian community for Middle Eastern refugees re-settled in Germany along with various other outreach efforts to displaced peoples and unreached people groups and have requested construction assistance to renovate a house in Taunusstein, Germany to be used for missionary housing. The house includes multiple living spaces and will be used in the future to provide lodging for short term volunteers, refugees in crisis, missionaries on furlough, or potentially to host retreats etc.

Project:
   Flashpoint teams worked on this project through the winter months of 2024, and again in the spring of 2025, completely gutting the interior, pouring new foundations, and replacing rotting structural beams and posts throughout the structure. Most of the remaining work is interior finishes, with the projects on the docket for January including removing an interior wall, laying tile, trim carpentry, and painting.
    Volunteers will stay in a house in the countryside about 20 minutes from the construction site. Work is Monday through Friday, about 8 hrs. per day. Evenings and weekends are free time. Weather will be much like January in PA; cold with a good chance of snow cover on the ground.
     Taunusstein is a quaint European village with cobblestone streets and small shops. The area is loaded with history, with ancient castles, WWII sites, Anabaptist history, Luxembourg, and Switzerland all just a short train ride away!

-Airfare (Approx. $1,000)
-Checked bag fees
-Any personal expenses during your stay (going out to eat, sightseeing, souvenirs, etc.)

What To Bring:
-Tool belt with basic hand tools (hammer, tape, square, etc.)
-Work clothes
-Bible for group devotions
