Who Are We Serving?
Founded in 1986 by Peter Horrobin, Ellel Ministries is a non-denominational international Christian ministry that seeks to serve the Body of Christ by offering biblical teaching and prayer ministry to those in need of healing and by training and equipping people to become more effective in helping others. From the beginning in the North West of England in 1986, Ellel Ministries has grown to have ministry centers in more than 25 countries around the world!
Nestled in the beautiful highlands of northeastern Scotland, Blairmore House is the home of Ellel Ministries- Scotland. Built originally as a family home by a local laird back in 1884, and restored in the 1990s by a businessman, Blairmore House now serves as a welcoming facility to host Ellel's Retreats, Gap Year Schools, and various other teaching seminars and discipleship courses.

The Project:
The facilities at Blairmore House are quite old and require constant maintenance. The main buildings are built of stone and so are quite sound structurally, but are in need of new doors & windows, new porch roofs, painting, and various plumbing and maintenance projects. Ellel was referred to Flashpoint Missions as a construction resource to assist them in their efforts to repair and update the property at Blairmore house and we're excited to partner with this worthy cause! Work will mostly require basic carpentry and construction skills, but willing hands will also be needed for painting and general labor.
What to Expect:
-The weather: The northern coastal city of Aberdeen, Scotland is at approximately the same latitude as Sitka, Alaska! Even summer months are cool, with average temperatures only hovering around 60 degrees. Nights will be chilly!
- Lodging: Ellel Ministries will provide housing, transportation, and food for volunteers at Blairmore House.
-Schedule: Workdays will include a morning devotional/Bible study and typically consist of about 8 hrs. working. Evenings and weekends are usually free time, although we may work a part day on Saturdays, depending on work progress.
-Off Hours: The Scottish Highlands are loaded with history! We may be able to visit ancient castles and historic sites, with hiking in the surrounding mountains also a possibility.
